1. Read: Exodus 32:9; Romans 5:8 Discuss: God names them stiff-necked before He shows mercy. When have you/what are you still hiding from God, as though naming it honestly would cost you His welcome?
2. Read: Genesis 3:6; Exodus 32:1; John 15:5 Discuss: The fall began with a private appraisal. Where are you currently trusting your own assessment of what you need over Christ's?
3. Read: Exodus 32:22–24; Hebrews 4:14–16 Discuss: Aaron's first two excuses were true: the people were set on evil, and Moses had been gone. True, and still evasive. What have you found to be the thing you say about your sin that keeps you from owning it?
4. Read: Exodus 32:32–33; Hebrews 7:25 Discuss: Why did God say no to Moses in v. 33? How would you explain to a young person why God said yes to Jesus?
